Creative Imaging
Listen to Enhance Creative Problem Solving to increase your intelligence, creativity, language and problem-solving abilities, as well as your measurable I.Q. This recording also includes methods to increase visualization abilities and a simple method to decrease the negative impact of stress.
This CD contains BioPulse™ frequencies in the mid-alpha (10 Hz) range.
What Are Those Odd Sounds I Hear?
Some of these sounds are BioPulse™ frequencies that help the brain/mind enter into more relaxed and receptive states. Other sounds are specific tonal patterns and frequencies, many of which are just below the threshold of conscious hearing. These sounds are activating the brain/mind at important moments during the learning process.
How Should I Play This Recording?
Play at a low volume. Headphones are not required, but they will usually deepen your listening experience.
How to Use Enhance Creative Problem Solving
As you listen to the music and sounds, begin to describe your experience in minute detail out loud. It is important that you hear the sound of your own voice describing your inner experiences.
In this exercise, you will utilize something called the inner witness. This inner witness is a function of the higher cortical centers in your brain. The witness allows you to be aware of not only how you experience an event; it also allows you to be aware of yourself being aware.
Ir may seem odd at first to describe your experiences out loud, but it is the verbal description that increases your I.Q in this exercise. The recording will evoke many different types of inner experiences, such as fantasies, visual images, physical sensations, etc. Normally we do not describe these types of things. But by describing every detail of your inner experience, you will be linking the language parts of your brain with other areas of nonverbal intelligence and creativity. This linkage facilitates an increase in language abilities as well as intelligence (including, but not limited to, I.Q).
As you sit with your eyes closed and listen to the music, imagine that you have a tape recorder in front of you (if this helps you to speak out loud). Describe into this imaginary tape recorder every minute detail of what you are experiencing as you listen to the music and sound patterns. If you see something in your mind’s eye, describe everything about it-its shape, color, etc. If you feel a physical sensation describe everything about it. Even if the image, feelings, etc., do not make logical sense to you, describe them.
Go through this process of detailed description while the CD is playing. There are two tracks lasting about 27 minutes each. Research shows that for every twenty minutes or so of practice, measurable I.Q increases up to one point. However, the benefits are not limited to I.Q. Problem-solving abilities as well as general creativity and language abilities also increase.
This method of verbal description is called Image Streaming and is based on the pioneering work of Dr. Win Wenger, a world leader in the area of advanced creativity and high genius. Developing or Increasing Visualization Abilities
Find a color picture, preferably one that captures your imagination. Place the picture in front of you and play the CD at low volume. As you look at the picture describe to yourself, in minute detail, every detail of the picture as you look at it.
What are the colors, the shapes? Take a good five to ten minutes to look at and describe every detail you see. The more detail you notice and describe, the more effective the exercise will be.
After you have completed this part of the exercise, close your eyes with the CD still playing. Now imagine the picture in front of you, and begin to describe what you “see” in your mind’s eye. If it seems that you do not “see” anything, repeat your earlier verbal description (when you had your eyes open). As you go through your description you may begin to sense subtle visual impressions, as if you can almost “see” in your imagination what you are describing out loud.
After you have worked with re-creating a visual image of the picture in your mind’s eye, begin to imagine that the picture is a 3-D image. Imagine yourself moving through this three-dimensional landscape. Feel and sense what this would be like. Imagine looking at the backsides, topsides, and bottoms of objects in the picture.
Most persons, who don’t naturally visualize, may require several sessions before they begin to “see” internal images. Eventually, with enough practice, almost everyone can develop the ability to visualize. Be patient and have fun with the exercise.
Meditation
This psychoacoustic track increases mid-alpha activity, which is associated with certain types of meditation. To deepen your meditation experience, play the CD very softly in the background. Most individuals find that the sound field will assist them to reach relaxing states of mind more quickly.
If you do not know how to meditate, try this simple method. Sit comfortably with your eyes closed and play the CD at a low volume. As you listen to the sounds and the music, let a part of your awareness be on your breath.
Let your breath be relaxed, long, slow, and comfortable. Find a rhythm of breath that is comfortable for you. Focus on relaxing the exhales, letting each exhale be more relaxed than the one before it. As you continue to relax into your exhales, you may find that the spaces between the exhales and the inhales get longer. Your breath may change and get very subtle or shallow. In some cases you may actually stop breathing for a short time. Don’t worry. Your body will take a breath when it needs to.
This alteration of the breath is a sign that your body-mind is entering into more relaxed states of being, and research clearly shows that these relaxed states of body and mind greatly reduce the negative impacts of stress. These states of relaxation also generate positive health benefits as well as benefits in the areas of intelligence, creativity, and overall brain performance.
