Tom Kenyan in Burma temple

Chanting beside this ancient Buddha, I was suddenly moved by a sense of the innumerable sentient beings that have lived before me.

Their names and their lives forgotten, their dreams and passions are no more.

They have passed into the great emptiness, as will we all.

Beyond the veils of existence and non-existence, in the depths of our own minds, there is a realm of peace and comfort, unaffected by the ever-changing world of duality.

In the Mirror of Great Perfection, there is nothing we need do to create it, and nothing we need do to find it. It is always there, as close as our breath and often revealed when we commit the simplest acts of loving kindness.

The Three Kayas and the Mirror of Great Perfection
June 28 – July 11, 2009

This journey into the mystery and beauty of Bhutan will take place during one of the high festivals of Bhutanese Buddhism–the birthday of Padmasambhava (Guru Rinpoche), who took Buddhism from India into Tibet via both Bhutan and Nepal. This hero of the Buddhist tantric tradition conducted high tantric rituals with his consort, Yeshe Tsogyal, throughout Bhutan, and both of these tantric masters are acknowledged and revered in this purely Buddhist culture.

The teachings and empowerments given during this tour will focus upon the three worlds of perception (kayas) and how these realms of existence can be utilized to reveal the Mirror of Great Perfection, whereby mind (consciousness) reveals to itself its own inherent and perfect nature.

In addition to private group work with Tom, we will experience Bhutanese Buddhist rituals, celebrations and monasteries rarely experienced by Westerners thanks to the exceptional contacts of our guide.

Where: Bhutan
When: June 28 – July 11, 2009

Cost: $7,600 (Includes airfare from Bangkok to Bhutan, but does not include airfare to Bangkok.) Note: This is based upon current airfares. If the cost of airfare from Bangkok to Bhutan goes up due to fuel adjustments or for any reason, the cost increase will be passed on to those attending.

Sound Healing Training
Seattle, Washington
September 3 – 7, 2009

Please note: Tom will not teach this course next year, so this is the last Sound Healing Training for at least two years. If you plan to study sound healing with Tom, we encourage you to consider this year’s training.

This is Tom’s most comprehensive training for those interested in intuitive Sound Healing. Participants will learn the basic neurophysiology and science underlying sound healing, side-by-side with the ancient esoteric and mystical understandings of sound. This is a hands-on experience, in that participants will have ample opportunities to explore the methods and techniques of toning for themselves. This is not an intellectually dry or theoretical training, but rather a rich experiential journey into the healing and transformational powers of sound. As part of this five-day Intensive, Tom will not only teach the methods of vocal sound healing, he will take participants into direct experiences through group sessions and explorations. Participants will leave with a theoretical understanding and practical mastery of sound healing allowing attendees to work as sound healers.

Absolutely no experience with sound healing or music is required.

This is the only way to study sound healing with Tom Kenyon. In these five days and nights, Tom teaches everything he possibly can share so you understand how sound affects the the brain/mind, the emotional body (how to use sound to affect the emotional body), and the spiritual lineage wisdom relative to using sound to heal. Since he has been a brain researcher, a psychotherapist and a pioneer in sound healing for over 30 years, he is uniquely qualified to share a wealth of wisdom and a lifetime of experience.

Where: Doubletree Suites, Southcenter, Seattle, Washington
Cost: $895.

To Pre-register: Send a $150 non-refundable and non-transferable deposit made payable to Tom Kenyon, PO Box 98, Orcas, WA 98280.

If you think you qualify for this discount, please indicate the dates and location of the training you attended when you register for this class. The price for repeat attendees is $645.

The Siddhis: Powers of Consciousness
Orcas Island, Washington
November 5 – 8, 2009

This is a four-day intensive Retreat in the meditation practice of the siddhis and a potent immersion into the siddhic realms of being. The siddhis, themselves, are attributes or powers of consciousness that all humans possess (in potential). According to the siddhic lineage, these powers spontaneously appear within the yogi or yogini as he or she traverses the spiritual path. The purpose of the meditation is not to force the manifestation of yogic powers, but rather to prepare the ground of being so that the seeds of our innate powers can blossom sooner. Although the outcomes may be similar, the methodologies are vastly different. Thus, those interested in this training need to understand the context within which it is given. This Intensive does not impart yogic powers. Rather it shows you how to cultivate the tree and the root of your own life by making contact with your own creative powers (Ananda Brahma, meaning the bliss of creation).

Tom imparts knowledge of the siddhis through a union of scientific information about the brain during meditative states, and Initiation into the shakti of the siddhic lineage. This joining of western and eastern perspectives opens a rich territory of self-discovery that leads to a quicker mastery of the meditation. No previous meditation experience is necessary, although some would be helpful. Workshop space is limited for this event and early registration is strongly advised.

When: November 5 – 8, 2009
Cost: $795.
Where: Orcas Island, Washington

Note: This training is being held on Orcas Island where the milieu of sea, cliffs, eagles, and wild life is magical and healing, in and of itself. The island is specifically chosen for its own potent chi and is a perfect location for both Taoist work and the Siddhis.

Pre-registration: We require a larger deposit for Orcas events due to the fact that workshop space is limited. To hold your place in this Retreat, send a $300 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit made payable to Tom Kenyon, PO Box 98, Orcas, WA 98280. (Cancellations received 45 days prior to the workshop may receive a 50% deposit return on Orcas events only. No refunds or transfers on deposits are given within 45 days of this workshop.)

The Great Triad:
A Transformational Journey Through the Inner Worlds
Montreal, Canada
Saturday, November 14, 2009

In Egyptian alchemy, the ascent of life force up the djed (or sacred pathway of the chakras) is symbolized by the journey of the hawk-headed god—Horus. This symbolic union of hawk and man denotes the spiritual ability to fly through the higher realms of consciousness and bring back to earth the treasures of an enlightened mind.

This one-day Intensive will be a personal journey into one of the richest alchemical traditions in the world. And sound will play an immense role in the work.

Using his nearly four-octave range voice, Tom will channel Catalytic or Transformational Sound at various stages of the Intensive. These vocally produced sound codes stimulate an increase in right brain activity, which opens the doors of perception to other realms of experience. Note: Neuropsychology has verified that this type of pure sound (sound without language) can profoundly alter brain processing and lead to transcendent experiences.

In its ascent up to the higher brain centers (symbolically represented as the heavenly realms), sekhem (or life force) passes through the Great Triad, the solar plexus (power), the heart chakra (compassion) and the crown chakra (illumination).

In the first part of this Intensive, Tom will explore the rich symbolic knowledge of ancient Egyptian alchemy and guide the group into a powerful transformational journey through the chakras, called Raising the Djed. After the subtle energies (or neters) are flowing freely through the djed, Tom will, using sound again, guide the group into an inner exploration of the Great Triad. This potent sound meditation clears deeply set and impressed negativity from the chakras and from the subtle energy body (the KA). The result is an increase in illumination (or spiritual light).

In the second part of the Intensive, Tom will share the Holon of Ascension, a simple, yet highly effective method for strengthening both the KA (subtle energy body) and the Khat (the physical body). The beneficial effects of this method are many fold and include an increase in spiritual awareness and an amplification of inner light, which according to the ancient Egyptians is a key to the process of ascension and the transformation of the KA into the Sahu or Glorious Raiment. Participants will leave the Intensive knowing how to continue this work on their own.

This will be a potent transformational journey. Join us for a life-changing experience.
