Regarding My Work
I am not a guru, nor do I believe in the encrustation of spiritual dogma.
I do not believe solely in the abstract ideas of things, but rather, also, in the lightning rod of direct experience, which I view as an indispensable midwife to wisdom.
For me, music and sound (including all forms of vibration) are both the language and underlying architecture of the cosmos.
As a result of this personal conviction, “catalytic sound” plays an important and critical role in all of my workshops and recordings.
At a mythic level, it is on the wings of sound that I temporarily take on the role of a “Ghandarva” (a celestial musician). Through this mythic “dreamtime” reality, I assist others to open their own doorways into expanded states of being.

The Cosmic Stairway
A One-Day Hathor Intensive with Tom Kenyon

The Uraeus and the Mystery of the Upper Room
A One-Day Hathor Workshop with Tom Kenyon
This one-day intensive is a journey into the fascinating inner world of the Uraeus and “The Upper Room” through the catalytic sounds of Tom Kenyon.
The Uraeus is a networking of light patterns through the brain centers that stimulates an increase in creativity and spiritual vision. Activation of the Uraeus lifts the veils between the worlds. It also imparts psychic “seeing,” and eveals direct knowledge of the spiritual realms.
In ancient Egyptian iconography, the attainment of the Uraeus was symbolized by a stylized serpent emerging from the third eye, indicating the arising of spiritual or psychic vision. This symbol was also related to the “High God Horus,” meaning that aspect of the Self that has risen above all duality and both transcended and transformed all conflicts.
This potent symbol points to the inherent power of the Uraeus to transform consciousness and the life of those who have attained it.
In this Intensive, we will use catalytic sound and inner focusing to activate the root pathway of the Uraeus. This pathway was called the Djed, or sacred pathway of the chakras. The raising of life-force up the spine into the head (the Upper Room) transforms biological energy into spiritual energy thereby giving birth to the Uraeus.
This intensive is an opportunity to transcend and transform issues in your own life though the power of new perception and insight.

This one-day Intensive promises to be a potent and profound journey into the healing and transformational effects of sound.
Tom will draw from numerous perennial philosophies during the day, including the yogas of ancient India, Tibetan Buddhist tantra, and Shamanism among others.
As part of this highly experiential exploration, Tom will discuss how the brain and mind operate during altered states of consciousness and how modern neuropsychology views ancient spiritual methods for altering perception.
Using his nearly four-octave range voice, Tom will tone catalytic sounds that lead us from the primordial inner worlds of the lower chakras to the celestial worlds of the thousand petaled lotus, located at the crown at the top of the head, known to yogis and yoginis as the sahasrara.
Through this energetic portal of the sahasrara, we will enter the numinous (light filled) realms of our own consciousness and make contact with various aspects of our transcendent Self.
Contact with this meta-reality imparts healing energies and spiritual insight that we can then take with back into our lives.
Sound will play an important and pivotal role in this workshop as Tom uses his catalytic voice to assist our Ascent into the transcendent worlds of our own consciousness where magic and healing reside.
You can expect to leave this event with an understanding of how the brain/mind shifts perception during spiritual practices involving sound and meditation. You will also directly experience the power of catalytic sound to alter consciousness, giving you access to unused potentials of your own brain/mind.
A Personal Note from Tom
I feel particularly drawn to bring this specific workshop to your attention, because I will be presenting new material regarding the chakras and their relationship to both the djed of classic Egyptian alchemy (sometimes called the sacred pathway of the chakras) and the sushumna or pathway of kundalini shakti.
The ascent of life-force (sekhem) up the djed or the ascent of kundalini up the sushumna transforms consciousness and opens the doors of perception to realms of consciousness unbounded by time, place and circumstance. This transcendent space is a potent reservoir of healing and deep insight that can only be accessed through non-ordinary states of consciousness.
In the course of this workshop, I will show you how to enter this deeply transformative realm of consciousness even if you have never meditated or have no background in either yoga or alchemy. This is because we will be entering these non-ordinary states of consciousness primarily through the agency of celestial sound, which is a type of toning whereby I vocalize (in audible tones) the ineffable sounds of the celestial words.
For me, personally, this particular event will be highly significant, because in terms of my teaching it is a marked Turning of the Wheel, meaning that I will be publically presenting, for the very first time, a new level of understanding in regard to the primal forces called sekhem (or life force) and kundalini shakti (the primal spring of transcendent consciousness).
Specifically, I will be presenting a different philosophical view from the traditional path we have been offered, as well as practical methods not offered in the systems we have inherited from various spiritual traditions.
If I were asked to describe this understanding in a nutshell, I would say that it is a shift from the patriarchal way of working with our chakras to a feminine-based way of working.
In this approach we do not force our internal energies to conform to our personal will, but rather we pay homage to a feminine archetype I simply call the Unseen Healing Goddess Within (i.e. kundalini shakti). Through this honoring and recognition of our own innate feminine potency and primal intelligence, we allow Her to rise upward, making the Great Ascent through our own chakras. It is through this inner journey of personal liberation that She imparts the nectar and gift of renewed life.
It is my observation that in the course of spiritual and transformational teachings, the Turning of the Wheel is always a potently charged spiritual event. To be physically present when the Wheel is turned is a rare boon to personal transformation. If you can possibly attend this event, I do believe you will be deeply touched and transformed.

The Kalachakra of Chakrasambhvara and Vajrayogini
A Tibetan Buddhist Tantric Retreat
This three-day Tantric Intensive is a deep immersion into the mystery of the Kalachakra (or the union of opposites). When two opposites are held together in an alchemical container, there is a potential for the release of immense energy. It is this potential for potent transformative energy that drives the work we will undertake. And our allies in this action will be two powerful Tibetan tutelary meditation deities—Chakrasambhvara and Vajrayogini.
Chakrasambhvara is depicted in Tibetan Buddhist iconography as a male being with many arms. He stands with one foot in samsara (the world of duality) and one foot in nirvana (the inherent bliss of one’s nature). He thus represents the ability to be in the world, but not of it, and can move to meet any situation with tantric mastery and grace because he is rooted in the unbounded bliss and awareness of his own nature.
Vajrayogini is raw primordial feminine power. She is one of, and some would say the most important feminine figure in the Tibetan tantric pantheon. Her nature is direct and fiery metamorphosis. She is a boon to those who desire rapid purification and transformation.
Whereas Chakrasambhvara is alchemically related to the water element, Vajrayogini is related to the fire element. By joining these two archetypal beings in tantric meditation, tremendous powers are released. These very powers can then be harnessed to transform our own nature and to part the veils that separate us from our own true identity as transcendent beings.
As in all of Tom’s work, catalytic sound will play a vital role in this undertaking.
Familiarity with Tibetan Buddhism is not a requirement for participation, although some familiarity with meditation would prove helpful.
A Note for Beginners: Tom will not stop the teachings in order for those with little or no meditation background to “catch up,” but his catalytic sounds invariably bring most everyone to a transformational space, which is how we can say “no particular background in Buddhism is required.”

The Art of Seeding New Realities
A Hathor Intensive
The Hathors will determine the full content of this workshop based upon world events as they transpire over the course of the coming year.
However, one of the primary focuses of this Intensive will be on what the Hathors call, The Art of Seeding New Realities. This art-form involves the coordinated action of the heart and its harmonic field potentials, thought-forms (or the templating of desire) and the energizing of intent (through the application of cosmic forces).
This art form is essentially a Hathorian method for personal manifestation. And while we will spend a fairly significant amount of time learning how to use this art form, the event will actually culminate in a World Meditation on Sunday, November 4th. This Meditation will focus upon the “seeding” of a more gracious passage through the transition cycle of 2012, as well as the birthing of Earth into a new and more enlightened Yuga or Cosmic Cycle.
